Abstract

A 2 days new-born female infant with facial, upper and lower limb malformations, respiratory distress and possible neonatal abdominal occlusion was admitted in the Paediatric Hospital of Brasov. The 42 years old mother was hypertensive and was treated for two years with ACEI (angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors) even during pregnancy and also with a combination of ACEI and other antihypertensive drugs for preeclampsia during the last trimester. Infant died three days later despite complex and sustained treatment.
