Abstract

Abortion is the expression of a fight over the woman’s body, between the demographical public politics and the desire-pleasure mechanism generated by the market, between the control imposed by the politics, exterior to the individual, and the control over the woman by the desire-pleasure-sexuality system and by the dependency generated throughout this system, from inside, all in all a battle carried out at the intersection of the public space with the privet and intimate ones. And medicine is here, at the interface between the body of the woman, on the one side, and the public politics and the desire-pleasure-sexuality system, on the other hand, operating, as an expression of power and mechanisms, inside this body. And this reality is the offspring of a different one, the reality of the woman’s body as a part of the social history.
