Abstract

The caesarian operation raised one of the most important ethical issues of all time. All along history, women were considered reproductive objects, no one wonder about who is more important, the mother or the child, the need for morality appeared. The Renaissance brought the first ethical problems and efforts to save both the mother and child. The changing appeared step by step, both in legislation and in people’s morality. In the modern society, no one wonder about this problem, the modern ethical codes put the mother in first place. Today, the mother can choose by herself, medically advised, for the elective caesarian operation.
