Abstract

Glasses, also called eyeglasses or spectacles, are one of the most common objects used by people – men or women. Used for vision correction or eye protection or both, during the time the types include the pince-nez, monocle, lorgnette and supported by pads on the bridge of the nose and by temples placed over the ears. In 1284, in Italy, made first eyeglasses were made in a modern way of understanding, but the materials used for glasses were different during the time: for lenses were originally made from glass, but many are now made from various types of plastic, CR-39 and polycarbonate.
