Actualităţi în managementul bolnavului critic cu disfuncţie organică multiplă (MODS)

Abstract

In this paper, within the news in the field of cellular and molecular mechanisms of the inborn immune response substantiating the new methods of diagnosis and treatment of critical patient having MODS, we are presenting the progresses related to: 1. Re-definition of the parameters featuring the MODS (the PIRO concept); 2. The mechanisms of stimulating the immune receptors by the exogenous and endogenous ,,alarmins” that lead to the activation of the inborn immune system cells (phagocytes) with the production of inflammatory mediators.
