Abstract

The heart is frequently involved in thyroid disease. Hemodynamic effects of this disease are very important in the evaluation of these patients. This presentation is about the efficiency and limits of hemodynamic non-invasive tests. Hemodynamic tests are useful in the evaluation of cardiac inotrop function. They are limited by underrating of oxygen consumption and overrating of peripheral vascular resistance.
