Abstract

The human body is exposed to an enormous number of non-nutrient chemicals in the environment, many of which could be toxic. All foreign chemicals can easily enter the body because they are in the air, water, or food we use. The presence of some pollutants in the human body may alter cell function and may induce various diseases. Human and other species' health are affected by the pollution phenomenon and should be protected, therefore, legislative measures limiting the pollutants content have been imposed at the global level.
