Infecția urinară în sarcină și lăuzie |[The urinary infection in pregnancy and confinement period]
Keywords:
pregnancy, confinement, urinary infection, riskAbstract
Although it is one of the most frequent complications of pregnancy and confinement, the urinary infection, most often might be neglected, undetected or considered as being common, even though the bacterial invasion of the pregnant woman’s urinary tract is a great risk for the mother and plays a high role in perinatal morbidity. While pregnancy pielonephrit has been a distinct syndrome in classic obstetrical pathology, a special concern for the frequent forms of urinary infection in pregnancy comes subsequent to the definition of the Asymptomatic Bacteriuria and to the probable evolution of this clinical form towards more or less severe forms. Considering as ‘common’ this condition or lacking knowledge about it, seems to explain why numerous researchers differ in their evaluation of the urinary infection in pregnancy. Keeping in mind that almost a fifth of the pregnant women have a more or less obvious bacterial infection of the urinary tract, the conclusion is however, that this infection may become, at any time, a risk in the pregnancy or confinement period.Published
