Abstract

The present paper contains a retrospective statistical study as well as several case presentations concerning congenital malformations of the axial skeleton. Serious malformations with patent symptomatology, especially those in plurimalformative context, represent a malformative pathology of the central nervous system in most cases. Another group is formed by asymptomatic patients with natural pathology. These are discovered randomly during the first decades of adult age. It can not be officially asserted that manifest frust pathology is caused by these malformations since there is no study group that should imply a screening in this matter. Upon the whole, malformative pathology has a much greater frequency in the general population than in the known one.
