Managementul statusului epileptic | [The management of status epilepticus]

Abstract

Status epilepticus (SE) represents a major medical emergency that needs immediate treatment after very well-done protocols. The aim of treatment is to prevent neuronal damage that appears secondary to the metabolic disorders and to the electric discharges during the epileptic seizures. In this paper, we propose a therapeutic guide for SE, presenting also the main complications that could appear, its treatment, and the main reasons for failure in treatment.
