Abstract

Toxocariasis (Larva Migrans Visceralis) is a zoonosis extremely common around the globe. It is determined by the migration of Toxocara Canis and Toxocara Cati larvae form in liver, lungs, myocardium and rarely in eye and brain. Usually, the symptoms are general malaise, fever, eosinophilia, and leukocytosis. The positive and differential diagnosis is hard to establish by clinicians and raises many problems that could delay the antiparasitic treatment; evolution, in this case, could be undetermined. The surveillance and control of this geohelmintiasis needs measures against reservoirs, modes of transmission, and measures of protection for the susceptible population.
