Abstract

Environmental protection issues in Romania and other countries are very acute, and incredibly intense local pollution of the natural environment caused by industry, agriculture and urban conglomerates as well as aboard pollution who lead in some areas to ecosystems disturbing and decreasing the welfare of large population. Despite the rules imposed by the “National Strategy for Lasting Development”, air pollution caused by road traffic is still a problem for the majority of towns.
