Abstract

Bacterial resistance to antibiotics can be natural or acquired. From the genetic perspective, the resistance can be chromosomal or extra chromosomal. The pathogen germs which raise therapy problems are MRSA, VISA, VRSA, MRCNS, ESBL strains. The causes of the increase of bacterial resistance are overuse and misuse of antibiotics in the prevention and therapy of human, animals and plants infections. The solutions consist in education, new technologies, legislation and special measures in hospital environment.
