Abstract

REM sleep behaviour disorder – RBD is a recent described parasomnia which is characterised by complex motor behaviour during REM sleep usually associated with nightmares, screaming, gesturing, punching, defensive gesturing which are dangerous for patient as well as bed partner. There is an idiopathic subtype and could be find in several diseases especially sinucleopathies. There are few data regarding temporal relationships between Parkinson’s disease and idiopathic RBD. In this paper is presented a case report of Parkinson’s disease preceded by idiopathic RBD with 15 years and a review of the main data from literature.
