Objectives: 1) The evolution after 6 months of the major clinical events and of the microalbuminury at patients diagnosed with conjunctive tissue disease being treated with Angiotensin II Receptor Antagonists, comparing with patients being treated with Angiotensin Converting Enzyme Inhibitors, with Calcium Channel Blockers or without any of the treatment mentioned before. 2) The impact of the association of endothelial dysfunction at the initial moment on the evolution with major clinical events after 6 months in the patients with conjunctive tissue disease within the same therapeutical group. Method: It is a prospective study that included patients diagnosed with conjunctive tissue disease, being monitored in the Department of Clinical Immunology of the County Emergency Hospital from Brasov during the years 2003 – 2004. Results and discussions: The incidence in the medium term of the major clinical events didn’t differ statistically significantly in the patients being treated with sartans compared with those treated with ACE Inhibitors, Calcium Channel Blockers, or the control group. Microalbuminury was favourable influenced only in the group treated with sartans.
