The aggressions toward the environment are more and more seldom and they influence also the human being. They are due to increasing human needs and nutritional needs are an example. To achieve this, it is tried to efficientize agriculture using pesticides that can negatively affect the environment. Acting on soil, water, and air, pesticides disturb ecosystems; when irrationally used, they deteriorate human health. Pesticides include a wide variety of chemical substances used to eliminate pests. One of the highly toxic categories is composed of organochloric pesticides that have a high remanence in the environment and could lead to intoxication. They accumulate in multiple organisms: plants, aquatic and terrestrial animals, and even human beings disturbing their metabolism and main functions. In the human organism, they determine dermatological, ocular, and respiratory affections, many allergies, infertility, predisposition to malformations, and cancer. The exposure to pesticides can be professional, incidental (food, water, or air contamination) or accidental. In order to prove the gravity of pesticide intoxication, in this work, it is presented the case of a 1 year 4 months child intoxicated with organochloric pesticides. He was brought to the Pediatric Hospital Braşov with the characteristic signs of intoxication.
