Abstract

Romania is spending for health services far less than other countries from European Union also facing problems with infant and maternal mortality, high prevalence of transmissible diseases and tuberculosis. It is a variety of results regarding health statistical indicators for countries with similar income levels and education, more or less related to health services performances. It is required to improve transparency and responsibility in health system by using a good monitoring informatics system for morbidity indicators, a proper management and an efficient DRG programme in our hospitals.
