Abstract

The study is aiming to estimate the implications of given socio-economic, microbiological and therapeutical factors on the evolution of otitis media. The high frequency of otic suppurations among paediatric and adult population of Brașov County motivates a profounder study on this issue. The quite high frequency of otomastoid suppurations is due to a complex of factors depending on the biology of the inflammatory process, climate factors, economic and cultural level and the quality of the medical assistance.
