The paper explores a biopsychosocial approach to a daycare project designed and operated by Romanian staff with the assistance of the Northern Ireland Association of Mental Health in the care of eighty people with long-term mental health problems in Brasov, Transylvania. The paper represents the findings of a five-year longitudinal study, utilizing primarily qualitative research methods in ascertaining the views of the key stakeholders involved in the project. It evaluates and reflects upon the findings generated by the research.Published
