Abstract

The sinoatrial node (SA node) has a far poorer vascular network if compared to the myocardium within the walls of the right atrium and of the right atrium and the superior vena cava. Within the nodal area there have been noticed certain anatomy features as far as the structure and distribution of the vessels is concerned. According to these features we may assume the presence of local feed back occurring by means of rhythmic variations in the pressure inside the sinus node artery and its branches.
