Abstract

Endometriosis is an underestimated genital condition, involving severe impacts on women’s health and reproductive potential. Etio-pathogenical mechanisms are yet not fully discovered which makes diagnosis and therapeutic approach only more difficult. Celioscopy has been considered as a ‘golden standard’ in diagnosing endometriosis, emphasizing lesions, undetectable other way. Introducing celioscopy, the macroscopic lesion related spectrum has been extended, proving an underestimated impact. Treatment for endometriosis, without having a well established standard, depends on contraceptive, progestative, Danazol and other GnRH analogs administrating, until surgical treatment. Referring to the latter, celioscopy may provide us with the diagnosis and a minimum invasive therapeutic procedure.
