Anterior communicating artery (ACoA) is un unpair artery which communicate with the 2 anterior cerebral arteries. Its length varies between 0.1 and 4 mm. Sometimes is double or triple. This paper is a review of the main anatomical data with the clinical implications. We present haemodynamic aspects regarding ACoA with its involvements in severe stenosis and occlusions of internal carotid artery.Published
