Abstract

This article contains a sociological analyse about some specific aspects of the Romanian health public system. In the first part there are presented the main dimensions of the system, with special focus on the following elements: health insurances in Romania, providers of health services and quality of this services. The second part of this article presents the main results of a micro-sociological field research which I have achieved in the summer of 2007. The subjects of this research were doctors who work in the family medicine system in Braşov city and the methodology was based on semi-structured interview. The results of the study show the perceptions that the doctors have about their profession and how their patients and the health politics in Romania could influence the medicine.
