Abstract

Tuberous sclerosis is an inherited system disease with prominent coetaneous, visceral, and cerebral manifestations. The majority of the lesions are hamartomas, slowly growing masses composed of a disorganized arrangement of cells that are relatively normal and appropriate for the tissue or site of origin. The unique diagnostic findings include the presence of multiple subependymal nodules and multiple cortical tubers.
