Abstract

Diseases of the small intestine (malignant or non malignant) are difficult to be diagnosed because of its low morbidity, clinical manifestations and the limited examination methods. Most patients are already in advanced stage at the time of diagnosis, usually when the complications appear, so therapeutic result is very poor. In order to have a better understanding of the clinical characteristics of the small intestine diseases, an analysis was made for the diagnosis, treatment and prognosis-influencing factors in 77 cases with their diagnoses confirmed by pathological examination and treated in our service, so as to improve the diagnosis, timely treatment and therapeutic effect.
