Keywords:
cerebellar arteries, vertebral artery, anastomosisAbstract
The cerebellar arteries are collateral branches of the vertebral artery and the basilar one. The cerebellum arteries generate two groups/ categories of branches: superficial ones and branches that perforate the cerebellar peduncles and enter the central area of the cerebellum, being distributed to the cerebellar nuclei (the deep branches). The superficial branches form a network of anastomosis on the surface of the cerebellum in contact with the pia mater that is inside the subarachnoid area and is being in contact with the cerebrospinal fluid.Published
