Abstract

There are many evidences of interactions between drugs and food. Some food has a negative impact on drugs, reducing drugs' effectiveness or increasing their toxicity. Also, some foods may change drug bioavailability. Therefore it is of great importance to give attention to only those interactions with pertinent clinical evidence. A rigorous study of the mechanisms involved in this connection not only enables efficient management of medical treatment but ensures optimal diet.
