Consideraţii privind factorii de risc ai hipertensiunii arteriale esenţiale la copii

Abstract

Essential hypertension, one of the most frequent diseases all over the world, in adulthood, became an important concern also in children and adolescents. Blood pressure values in childhood are predictive of blood pressure values as an adult and also for future cardiovascular disease. Although the mechanisms are not very well known, we know quite well the risk factors that are involved in essential hypertension, and we also know that prevention is more efficient than treatment.
