Abstract

In Romania, lung cancer is now the main cause of death by cancer in men and it is on the 4th place for women [5]. Considering 85% of cases are smokers, the disease is thought to be prevented by avoiding smoking or giving up this addiction as soon as possible. Since smoking creates addiction, giving up is difficult to achieve. The study is based on previous research on patients in the Oncology department of the Emergency County Hospital in Braşov, from 1.02.2010-31.01.2011 and 1.02.2011-31.01.2012.
