Abstract

Rational waste management should aim at pollution phenomena generated, imposing the adoption of more advantageous methods that minimize the impact on the environment, and the fact that such waste can be turned into secondary resources, materials, and energy, avoiding in this way the exhaustion of resources. Globally they are trying to adopt standard methods of waste management into an integrated system, but some countries are grappling with major problems concerning their applicability due to the low levels of socio-economic development, countries that have a strategy based on economic development policy, leaving environmental problems at a lower position. In such a situation our country, where the realization of an integrated system of waste management is still in an early phase. This medical waste has a significant impact on the environment and human health. It can be divided into three broad categories: infectious waste, sharp waste, and household waste.
