Abstract

Prominent Romanian medicine figure, Jacob Felix is part of the people who were not only perfectly integrated into their country of adoption but have also greatly contributed to its prosperity. Equally concerned with hygiene and health organization problems, he bequeathed us a treatise on the history of hygiene in 3 volumes that can be used today as a model of organizing information in the field. Unfortunately, not all of his lectures have been retained, but studied documents show that Felix was a very active person in medical and socio-political life, representing a model in this direction.
