Abstract

Diabetes is a common disease in the contemporary world. Diabetic foot is one of the major complications of diabetes because of its major individual, economic and social impact. Infection of diabetic foot lesions increases the complexity of treatment and worsens the prognostic. Surgical treatment and antibiotic therapy represent milestones in the approach to diabetic foot infections. This paper describes a bacteriological survey of a lot of patients hospitalized in a surgery department for infected lesions of diabetic foot.
