Abstract

Background: Limited data are available on smoking-related with nursing student, but we are eagle that nurses are a very important and the patients identified a general teaching function for nurses. Objective: To evaluate the compliance of nursing education in smoking behaviour. Methods: 235 students from post-high school and university students from the last year, completed an anonymous questionnaire on smoking. Results: Among all students 95% believe that the smoking habit is unhealthy. Conclusions: Although smoking is susceptibility to imitation, and the nursing models could be very important for the others, more research is needed to disentangle their independent influence on smoking.
