Abstract

Dystonic head tremor is a rare movement disorder with yet unclear pathophysiology and etiology. Few cases have been described in literature following surgery for focal dystonias. The aim of this article is to present a case report of a woman who developed head tremors several years after 2 surgical interventions for spasmodic torticollis. The patient presents currently a no-no, rest head tremor with a dystonic component, which is augmented by emotions and had aggravated in the last months in the context of depression. The medical management of the condition was challenging.
