Abstract

Vaccination coverage in Romania ten years ago was over 95%, in compliance with the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO). Currently, through the contribution of several factors, vaccination coverage worldwide has declined, which is why the results of this study followed the presentation of immunization coverage with four doses of the vaccine pentavalent diphtheria, tetanus, acellular pertussis, Haemophilus influenzae, polio in Brasov County over the four years 2010-2013, compared with the 95% recommendations of the WHO. The results confirm that vaccination coverage compared with WHO requirements, was the lowest in 2010, followed by 2012 and 2013. The highest percentage of children vaccinated was achieved in 2011. Another conclusion is that vaccination coverage in urban areas surveyed was higher than in the rural areas in all the four years.
