Abstract

Good communication between professionals and patients is often the key to quality health care. Disclosure of truth regarding incurable diseases is however a problem, many professionals disagree and feel vulnerable. Moreover, in the case of children with life-limiting illnesses for some professionals telling truth, it becomes an extremely difficult task. The emotional charge is larger and the idea of incurable disease for children often contradicts the idea of the meaning of life.
