Mecanismele cardiotoxicității induse de antacicline |[Anthracycline-induced cardiotoxicity mechanisms]

Abstract

Anthracycline-induced cardiotoxicity mechanisms are multiple and promoted by direct cardiotoxicity through oxidative “stress” induced by free oxygen radicals and by myocyte apoptosis. The cardiotoxic effects of anthracyclines are influenced by genetic profile, facilitating the intramyocardial increase of the iron ions and the “iron-mediated free radicals”, and the antineoplastic effectiveness can be reduced by the occurrence of anthracycline-induced cardiomyopathy.
