Abstract

Ascorbic acid is known in the medical field for its many uses in different pathologies. Knowledge about vitamin C is used since ancient times in order to prevent or cure some diseases. We consider it important for medical students to understand and use vitamin C, showing thus their knowledge of this compound. The aim of this study is to identify the level of information of students from the Faculty of Medicine Brasov possess in order to fill in the gaps in their knowledge. Results of this study show a satisfactory level of information on the role, side effects, and sources of vitamin C, according to the year of study of the students questioned, making it thus necessary for further investigation to reassure that the implementation of this information is being realized.
