Abstract

We are presenting a clinical case of a 26 years old asymptomatic patient that came to the Cardiology department for electrocardiogram changes. The clinical examination shows a systolic heart murmur of II/VI intensity in the central area. Biological screening is within normal limits. The ECG and the echocardiography show changes that suggest sarcomeric hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, the Holter ECG monitoring does not detect any essential dysrhythmia, and computed tomography of the coronary arteries identifies a muscular bridge in the anterior descending artery. The enzyme levels from the dry blood test are could not diagnose a lysosomal disease. Following clinical and paraclinical investigations, the diagnosis was non-obstructive septal hypertrophic cardiomyopathy – sarcomeric form. The algorithm dedicated to hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, this patient has < 2.5% risk of sudden cardiac death within the next 5 years.
