Adenom pleomorf parotidian drept: Prezentare caz | [Right parotidian pleomorf adenom: case presentation]

Abstract

Pleomorphic adenoma is a benign tumor that appears in the salivary glands, and it is frequently localized in the parotid gland. Pleomorphic adenoma is most commonly seen in adults with ages between 40 and 60 years old. It is less frequent in the other salivary glands such as submandibular, sublingual, and minor ones. The tumor is slow-growing at the beginning, it is small and has a firm consistency, is pain-free, and has no implications on the motor function of the facial nerve. This article presents a clinical case of a right pleomorphic adenoma, which was treated with success through a superficial parotidectomy and the preservation of the facial nerve. A less frequent division of the facial nerve after the parotidectomy was observed.

Adenomul pleomorf reprezintă o tumoră benignă care apare la nivelul glandelor salivare cu localizare predominantă la nivelul glandei parotide. Adenomul pleomorf este observat in general la adulții cu vârste cuprinse între 40 și 60 de ani. Este mai puțin frecventă în celelalte glande salivare, cum ar fi glandele salivare mari submandibulare și sublinguale ca și în glandele salivare accesorii. Această tumoră la început are o creștere lentă, este mică și are o consistență fermă, fără durere și nu are implicații asupra funcției motorii a nervului facial. Acest articol prezintă un caz clinic al unui adenom pleomorf situat în glanda parotidă dreaptă, care a fost tratat cu succes printr-o parotidectomie superficială cu conservarea nervului facial. S-a observat o diviziune mai puțin frecventă a nervului facial după parotidectomie.
