Abstract

Age-related macular degeneration (ARMD) is the leading cause of severe and irreversible central vision loss among people over 50 years old. The incidence of AMRD is expected to rise, therefore the aims of this retrospective study, performed on 324 patients with ARMD, are: to evaluate treatment possibilities in neovascular/wet ARMD and, especially, to evaluate the effectiveness of photodynamic therapy in the management of choroidal neovascularization in ARMD.
