Abstract

We have done a prospective study which included 56 patients aged 46-73 years, presented menometroragies in pre and post menopause. We investigated those women in our clinic “Obstetric and Gynaecologic Hospital” from Brasov. The patients were trans-vaginal geographically examined before biopsy curettage. We measured the endometrial thickness by sagital section; the results were compared with the histopatological exam. If the thickness was below 4mm we excluded any pathological lesion (endometrial cancer, typical or atypical adenomathosis hyperplasia, glandulocystic hyperplasia), in this situation we can skip the biopsy curettage.
