Abstract

Acute diarrhea represents a frequent pathology in pediatrics. The type of re-feeding (early versus progressive) may influence infants’ outcome. We present a prospective study with 88 toddlers (50 with early and 38 with progressive re-feeding) with acute diarrhea and dehydration syndrome of 7% admitted in the Children’s Hospital from Brasov. We analyzed demographic and clinical parameters, and infants’ outcome. The main finding of this study was that the re-feeding type of had no significantly influence in outcome terms.
