Abstract

Enzyme-based biosensors permit sensitive, rapid, and specific detection of some pollutants that may determine undesired effects on human and animal health. The use of the biosensors obtained by sol-gel immobilisation of Electric eel acetylcholinesterase gives the possibility of methyl paraoxon detection from different aqueous media.
