Abstract

The infrastructure of the human myometrium has been studied. The connective tissue from the human myometrium is composed of connective cells and intercellular matrix. Various types of connective cells can be found in this structure, macrophages, plasma cells and numerous fibroblasts being the most frequent. These connective cells are infrastructurally distinct. Each cellular type contains different intracellular components.
