Abstract

The most interesting features of the cartilage are its matrix’ low antigenity, poor vascularization and the isolation of the chondrocytes in lacunae is a property which allows success homotransplantations without any humoral or cellular immune reactions. In this experiment, made on rabbits, we try to study a modality to treat chondral defects using auto transplant of biological matrix (fascia lata and periosteum).
