Abstract

Tertiary education is a very important variable in order to explain the evolution of a country. The present paper takes into consideration the dynamics of the people included in tertiary education (especially students) in Romania and in the European Union (27 countries). The paper also presents the results of a statistical model in order to explain the influence of some chosen factors over the explained variable. The chosen factors for the model are the Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices, the annual consumption, with its most important element, household final consumption, and the number of employees.
