Abstract

In this article, I will go through three main logistics components, which are represented by: transportation, inventory, and facilities, and the three secondary logistical components: information, production location, price, and how they determine the performance of any supply chain. I will discuss then how these components are used in the design, planning, and operation of a supply chain. I will also talk about some obstacles a supply chain manager may encounter.
