Abstract

As intercultural perspectives have gained considerable ground in facilitating not only general and interpersonal communication but also the emergence of new attitudes towards the acceptance of globalization and orderly cultural chaos, the paper aims to provide a brief yet multifaceted inventory of multi-, puri-, inter- and cross-cultural and linguistic aspects of contemporary societies, with special focus on the issues of multilingualism as the key component of intercultural communication.
