Paris in Literature – Yesterday and Today Typology and Functions of Descriptions

Abstract

The urban myth of Paris could be transposed in literary types of description. We will adopt the typology and the functions of description suggested by Jean-Michel Adam in his book Le Texte descriptif and we will refer to some novels of the 19th and 20th century.
